Highlights in Bioprocessing Productivity

Many of the major improvements in productivity have occurred in titer concentrations,which have seen substantial increases(table 1).The increased upstream productivity created a demand for enhanced capacity and speed in downstream processes.In addition,because only a small proportion of bio-therapeutics that enter clinical trials make it to market,companies have tended to populate the candidate pipeline quickly,meaning more processes have required development in shorter timeframes.
