Retail Worker Resolution: Find A New Job

According to a recent survey from CareerBuilder.com, one in five retail workers say their New Year's resolution is to find a new job with an additional 25 percent reporting they plan to leave their current job within a year. Ten percent of retail workers cited a need to change careers entirely.While the reasons vary, 48 percent of workers reported the need for better pay or career advancement opportunities as primary reasons they plan to leave their current jobs. More than one-third (34 percent) of retail employees are dissatisfied or very dissatisfied with the salary they receive while 27 percent of retail workers are not happy with the career advancement opportunities.
