Praxair-Air Liquide JV bags oxygen supply contract from SECCO in China

SHANGHAI Chemical Industry Park Industrial Gases Company (SCIPIG), a joint venture between Praxair Inc and Air Liquide (two leading global suppliers of industrial gases), was recently awarded a 15-year industrial gases supply contract from Shanghai SECCO Petrochemical Co Ltd (SECCO). Under terms of the agreement, SCIPIG will supply large volumes of pure oxygen to SECCO, located in Shanghai Chemical Industry Park (SCIP), for its sulfuric acid regeneration unit. The pure oxygen will increase the capacity of the unit, significantly reduce its emissions and improve its overall production efficiency.
