摘要

Cashe w nut shell liquid(CNSL)and Phenol formaldehyde were synthesised in the laboratory and subsequently blended with ketonic(Cyclohexanone formaldehyde)resin.The physico-mechanical and performance properties such as drying time,hardness,adhesion,flexibility,gloss,skinning tendency,corrosion,impact resistance and chemical resistance were examined at various compositions of the modified CNSL resin and ketonic resin blend.The 50:50 percent(w/wj of CNSL-phenol-formaldehyde-Ketonic(Cyclohexanone formaldehyde)resin blend exhibited enhanced coating properties as compared to any other proportions of the blend.
