Annular pancreas: unusual EUS finding in an adult patient with asymptomatic pancreatic hyperenzymemia.

A 40-year-old man was referred for further evaluation of a 1-year history of fluctuating pancreatic hyperenzymemia with mild elevations both of amylase and lypase, typically less than twice the normal range. The patient was completely asymptomatic and in good physical condition. He had a past medical history of right kidney dysplasia. Was not on any medication and was non-drinker and non-smoker. Other routine serological tests were within the normal range. Computed tomography (CT) and MR cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) have demonstrated no pancreatic abnormalities.
