Poly(dibenzylidenetetrathiapentalene): a novel, linearly extended tetrathiafulvalene polymer

摘要

The monomeric tetrathiapentalene precursor 1 can be polymerized oxidatively in one step to the charged vinylogous tetrathiafulvalene derivative 3. The polymerization of 1 occurs in consecutive steps via radical intermediates- Reduction of 3 gave the neutral, soluble polymer 4 which comprises approximately 50 monomeric units (M_w=20000).
