10mtpa at Hazira commissioned by Essar at a nominal cost of 37,500 Rupees crore

The journey started with the installation of a single 0.9 mtpa DRI module in FY 89 in India. Four decades on, Essar Steel is a major flat steel producer with presence in three continents. The latest achievment is the completion of the lOmtpa capacity expansion at its Hazira complex. This development has made the Hazira complex the largest single location flat steel producer in India and the fourth largest in the world.
