Recently we have seen many millions of tons of solid elemental sulphur sell into world markets at prices not dreamed of. One might well ask "Where did the profit all go?" For at well over $500/ton there must certainly have been handsome returns somewhere to someone. The question Thio-philos poses in this piece is: how much of the windfall has been or will be reinvested in answering the challenge of what to do with the world excess of the recovered element that is believed to be staring us in the face?
