MACHINERY PETE: Used machinery values continue to rise, but how much higher will they go?

Arising tide lifts all boats, so the saying goes. I'm finding this phrase very applicable to the used farm equipment market over the past 12 months. Going back to November 2007, auction sale prices on all types of used equipment have been cresting significantly higher. The question is how much higher? You can certainly get a sense of rising values by some of these prices in the table. Note the 10,100 dollar paid for a Case IH 900 that sold in northeast Kansas or the 64,000 dollar paid for a 2000 Kinze 3600 that sold in north-central Indiana. And the Deere 1760 that sold in east-central Nebraska for 36,000 dollar.
