Interphase Oxidation and Composite Degradation in SiC-Matrix Composites

摘要

SiC-Matrix composites feature a carbon interphase or, beneath their BN interphase, a network of adventitious carbon arising during processing. This paper examines a connection between such carbon network, which undermines oxidation resistance, and pest degradation of the composites.
