With industry in general still reeling from the latest oil price shock, the extremely energy-intensive refractories sector has been hit especially hard by spiralling energy costs. Reason enough to implement sustained improvements in this sector and to effectively save energy by modernization, while improving product quality at the same time. And modernization is often accompanied by an increase in production as a welcome side-effect.
