摘要

The procedure for testing specimens upon their cyclic rotational bending loading with the application of sliding friction forces is described. The tests of 45 steel specimens, with their surface layers being modified by boronizing and carbovanadizing, were performed. Fatigue and tribological characteristics of modified steel are shown to increase. After carbovanadizing the steel is demonstrated to exhibit enhanced characteristics, which is associated with the formation of secondary structures and specific surface films in the fatigue-sliding friction area.
