Clean COLORBOND steel offers extreme climate option

Specialist steel roofing material manufacturer, BlueScope Steel has expanded its recently-launched Clean COLORBOND~(TM) pre-painted steel range to offer the ultimate in protection against severe environmental conditions. The new product is, known as Clean COLORBOND~(TM) Ultra steel. Clean COLORBOND~(TM) is a unique product that provides the architect a roofing material with a lifespan up to four times longer than commonly available pre-painted galvanised steel. Due to the advanced nature of the steel substrate, consisting of 55 percent Aluminium, 43.5 percent Zinc and 1.5 percent Silicon alloy coating, AZ150 - minimum 150g/m2 alloy -the product offers superior corrosion-resistance whilst being lightweight and easily formable. Its high-tech paint system keeps its colour longer and resists chalking, film erosion and dirt-staining while reflecting a significant degree of the inbound solar radiation, resulting in a cooler roof.
