Concrete masonry gets creative

The CMA (Concrete Manufacturers Association) has published a project review which demonstrates the application of concrete masonry at its best. Based on the construction of the 992m~2 Lookout Hill Tourist Facility in Khayalitsha, the leaflet offers useful guidelines in creative concrete masonry techniques. Commissioned by the City of Cape Town and completed in September 2003, the development was designed by Magqwaka Associated Architects and built by Edel Construction using modular textured architectural masonry supplied by CMA member, Columbia DBL.
