There are some words and phrases that one doesn't mind hearing in some circumstances, but in other situations - watch out! Take the word oops for example. If you happen to drop something, you may shout "oops." For that instance, the word works okay and does the job one expects of it. Now hear someone say oops when they are cutting your hair. Has a whole new meaning, right? Is it a good oops or a bad oops? Can I hide this by changing the cut or style a wee bit, or is it a "wait for it to grow out"?
