The production of high-quality sheet, competitive in the world market, is impossible without appropriate heat treatment. Currently, thermohardening by controllable accelerated cooling is mainly employed. Using the heat associated with rolling, this method permits large-scale production of sheet with improved mechanical properties at practically any level of mechanical properties meeting international standards may be obtained.
