Committee Corner-Marketing

I first came to SES in 2010 at the annual inference in Boston. Having been in the tandards business for about fourteen years, here were plenty of old friends and new coleagues to meet. I was quickly encouraged by 'atti Ensor (CS A Group), Marketing Council Director at the time, to join the Marketing Committee. As the Marketing Committee works with all of the SES committees, this was a way to quickly learn about the organization and what it offers to standards professionals around the world. Before the annual conference in Las Vegas, I had agreed to take on the role of Committee Chair. This gave me additional opportunities to work more closely with the committees and the Board of Directors. I took over the Board position from Patti in August of 2012 at the annual conference in New Orleans. Each day that I work with the Board, the Marketing Committee, and the general membership of SES, I am proud, humbled, and impressed by this wonderful organization.
