Huge increases in energy costs and ever fiercer competition are forcing companies to exploit savings potential on all possible levels. By analysing the extrusion process with reference to certain parameters, it is possible to utilize the "latent reserves" in shaping. The existence of these reserves in many cases is explained in the following report on the basis of one example.
