Despite its benefits and growing popularity, waterjet cutting is still under-marketed and barely understood. In fact, "Stainless Steel" found one well-known internet journal, published in 2005, which described in-depth the various methods of cutting stainless yet failed to give waterjet even a passing reference. Such was the challenge faced by Metals Centre some years ago, when they purchased their first water-jet machine. "Stainless Steel" spoke to Stewart and James Miles of Metals Centre to find out how waterjet has helped their business, where it's used, and how it compares with more familiar flame-cutting.
