BIS Raids against packaged Drinking Water Units Manufacturing Water Pouches at Jabalpur and Katni

Shri K C Trivedi, Director and Head, BIS Bhopal Branch ordered raids of two units at Jabalpur and Katni who were manufacturing Packaged Drinking Water in pouches and were misusing the ISI Mark. The search and seizure raids were carried out at M/s Maheshwari Industries, Damoh Road, Jabalpur who was manufacturing Packaged Drinking Water with the brand name "BISANI" without a valid Certification Marks licence. The other raid conducted at Shri Vijay Kankane, M/s M V Aqua Industries, Kuthla, Katni where Packaged Drinking Water was being manufactured without a valid licence under the brand name AQUA SUN and CHEERS. Necessary legal actions further to the raids are under progress.
