One feller-buncher equals roughly 300 million chickens. That's how many birds William Robertson would have to catch nowadays to earn enough money to buy that piece of machinery. In fact, catching chickens was one of the jobs he had as a teen to help earn money for his family. He no longer chases birds, except maybe to hunt turkey, but having that job years ago was a factor that shaped his future success as a logger.
