The investigation was carried out to develop mulch cum drip irrigation technology for at Agricultural Research Station, Mannuthy. The seven treatments comprised of six combinations of 3 irrigation levels through drip, with or without mulching and onecontrol treatment of furrow irrigation. The yield of the crop as well as irrigation water use efficiency observed for the crop indicated that under drip irrigation mulching saved considerable amount of irrigation water, still ensuring maximum yield. Through drip irrigation at an irrigation level of 25%) ET under polythene mulching using LDPE sheets higher fruit yield is ensured in crop.
