'Hydraulic press system as fast as a mechanical press for 30 percent less'

German press manufacturer Dieffenbacher was showing its DXA hydraulic CNC forming press for the first time at EuroBlech. The company has patented the variable forming system and Sales Director, Manfred Wischneswski claims that it can process coil at speeds "close to or better than a mechanical press." The DXA was designed for cutting, blanking, drawing, bending and coining using eight-step progression tooling, processing up to 45parts/min at 140spm with a force of 4,000kN. The press stoke is CNC variable and the ram is force and velocity programable for flexibility.
