The introduction of a beverage range was a natural extension to one South African company's wate bottling business, which provided a sound base from which to establish a second, proudly South African brand - this time with mass market appeal.THE recent launch of Kalahari Beverages was a bold and exciting announcement on the domestic beverage market. Taking on the big boys who up until now have enjoyed total control of the soft, carbonated beverage market in South Africa by virtue of their manufacturing license with Cadburys Schweppes, is no easy feat. Notwithstanding, Waterval Minerale - best known for its range of superior bottled water - has sought to challenge current supply routes by developing its own, domestic brand of soft drinks.
