Beating Coccidiosis: Beat lamb killer coccidiosis with strategic control programme

If meat processors announced they were going to deduct an extra 1kg per lamb from sheep producers' pay cheques, for no good reason, there would probably be industry outrage. Such a deduction would wipe a staggering ￡30 million-plus off producers' annual returns. But many of the UK's 58,000 sheep farmers are losing far more than 1kg per lamb by failing to have a strategic control programme in place for coccidiosis, which can devastate a flock's productivity and profit.
