Entrepreneurs address agricultural plastic re-cycling. Husband and wife team from Bosbury have set up a new business collecting and recycling farm waste plastic with the help of Defra funding. The Perks' farm is a tenanted 130 acre holding comprisingBeef, Sheep and Arable. Since the tenancy started eleven years ago they have unfortunately encountered problems associated with TB, BSE, Foot and Mouth and the general fall in farm incomes. They diversified four years ago and set up a Caravan Club Certified Location (CL) site and Caravan Storage facility and very much enjoy dealing with the questions presented by members of the public who come to stay on their site. The farm is managed to incorporate the Countryside Stewardship Scheme as this not only benefits wildlife, it also encourages their caravan clients to understand how modern farming methods can also work alongside conservation.
