OSCAR DE LA RENTA SUES ELIZABETH ARDEN

Fashion house Oscar de la Renta has sued Elizabeth Arden over allegations of trademark violation.The allegation centres on accusations that Arden sold a perfume at Wal-Mart that had only been authorised to be sold as a gift with purchase by de la Renta.The manufacturer did not stop selling the fragrance after receiving a cease-and-desist letter from the fashion house and the product is still being sold,it is claimed.Oscar de la Renta is now seeking a court order barring sales and payment of legal fees.
