Described is a multiphase aqueous cleansing composition,which when agitated forms a single phase and when left standing the composition rapidly returns to at least two visibly distinct aqueous phases.The composition comprises a surfactant or salt thereof,one or more co-surfactants,a humectant and a salt,and it is essentially free of a thickener or a detergent builder.
