摘要

The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) has made two advancements in the field of nanoparticle research. It is participating in a four year, ?3.5m research project under the EC's 7th Framework Programme (FP7), which has been created with a view to developing an innovative cost effective platform for the measurement of engineered nanoparticles. The R&D effort behind SMART-NANO, which stands for Sensitive MeAsuRemenT, detection and identification of engineered NANOparticles, brings together three nonprofit and five SME partners from eight countries: the Centre Suisse d'Electronique et de Microtechnique, JRC, FeyeCon, Postnova Analytics, Avid Nano, AHAVA,Ruder Boskvic Institute and ABICH. It is hoped that the project will result in a miniaturised, modular cartridge based technology platform integrating all analytical steps needed for the separation, detection and quantification of engineered nanoparticles.
