With the nation's electric utility industry reeling from the quintuple whammy of burgeoning demand for electricity, the high cost of natural gas fuel, stagnant growth in power generation (it's tough to get permit-ting for new power plants), the NIMBY factor and tremors at the mere mention of the words "nuclear power," guess what: the nation is apparently deciding that coal is a pretty decent energy option after all.
