摘要

The control of process parameters, including machine-specific ones, has decisive influence on the die casting process itself. Modern die casting machines therefore offer the possibility of controlling the tool temperature and the liquid metal and of performing the die casting process via closed-loop position, velocity and force axis control. The quality of the control of the injection axis used to be restricted by the capabilities of the typically employed hydraulic drive technology. At GIFA 1999 Frech for the first time presented to the public servo-electrical drive systems implemented on a hot chamber die casting machine. The drastically higher reproducibility of such servo-electrically powered and controlled axes opens up new horizons in die casting.
