The basic concepts, current applications and developmental trends of Chinese medicine cosmetics were introduced. The developmental bottleneck of Chinese medicine cosmetics was also discussed in this aper. The applications of the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine (KM) to cosmetics were summarized, and some suggestions were roposed.
