PVC heat-shrinkable tubing has been utilized for condenser applications, because PVC tubing features excellent printability, flame retardant property and conformity to automatic covering machine. PVC tubing is being substituted by PET tubing in order to reduce the environmental load. However, since flame retardant property and heat-resistance are required in the case of middle and large size condensers in order to satisfy the product safety, the polyolefin based heat-shrinkable tubing is recently used for this application. Sumitomo Electric already released the polyolefin based UL 105℃ rating heatshrinkable tubing "Sumitube FC2" and sales of this product is increasing recently. In order to satisfy the user demands for the improvement of printability and the development of further heat-resistant grade, Sumitomo Electric has released the UL 125℃ rating polyolefin heat-shrinkable tubing "Sumitube FC4" for the middle and large size condenser applications.
