This month, a deepwater cabled seabed observatory- consisting of 21 fully sensored Aanderaa Data Instruments (Bergen, Norway) RDCP 600 recording Doppler current profilers with depth capacities from 500 to 3,000 meters and three 75-kilohertz Teledyne RD Instruments (Poway, California) Workhorse acoustic Doppler current profilers-is expected to begin the real-time characterization of the marine environment around Cape Ras Al Hadd, Oman, according to a statement from Lighthouse R&D Enterprises Inc. (Houston, Texas).
