The Tool-Vu from Nature Vision Inc. is a portable, self-contained video-inspection system that enables users to see in hard-to-reach, low-light situations.Tool-Vu features a 1/3 inch CCD camera with a built-in on/off infrared light source and adjustable-focus lens that offers 10x magnification. The camera sits in a 1 1/4-inch housing attached to a 30-inch flexible cord that enables users to snake in and around areas that would otherwise be inaccessible. Images from the camera appear on a 4-inch CRT panel, allowing users to "see in tight places and dark spaces," the company says. The unit comes with a 12-volt DC battery and charger, as well as a 20-foot video cable and video output jack for recording images from the camera.
