摘要

To evaluate the genetic purity of napa cabbage (Brassica campestris subsp. pekinensis) hybrid seeds in the laboratory, ultrathin-layer isoelectric focusing (UTLIEF) of seed proteins was used. In the pH range of 5-8, one male marker band and two female marker bands were found in the parental lines of 87-114. Based on these bands, the genetic purity of F1 seeds could be easily determined in the laboratory. The genetic purity determined by UTLIEF of proteins was confirmed by a grow-out test. T he study shows that UTLIEF of seed proteins could replace grow-out tests to determine the genetic purity of napa cabbage hybrid seeds.
