CHINA TO IMPOSE ANTI-DUMPING DUTY ON KOREA

China is moving to impose an anti-dumping duty of 32 percent on Korean- made cold-rolled steel, threatening to further aggravate exports by Korean steelmakers. The news of an imminent imposition of the extra tariffs in China comes after the United States decided to take safeguard measures against imported steel products. Making the situation even worse are moves by the European Union to impose similar safeguard tariffs on imported steel, including those from Korea, thus putting the entire steel industry on red alert.
