Just weeks after the Chinese government's last move to increase export taxes on steel, Beijing is now considering abolishing all remaining export tax rebates in August or September, traders said, "I've heard that Beijing is working on another round of tax changes for steel exports, and may cancel all the VAT rebates on steel exports sometime in August," a Shang hai-based steel trader told MB, Othertraders also reported similar rumours, though the timescaleofany potential changes differed.
