摘要

Integrated management studies on scab lesion (Venturia inae-qualis), fungal rots and shrivelling of apple fruits during storage revealed that post harvest fruit dip in a mixture of Emblica officinalis (aonla) leaf water extract (10%) and carbendazim (0.05%) for five minutes was highly effective and provided 100, 92.7 and 81.5% control during 60 days storage at ambient temperature (21 + 3°C), respectively. Other treatments comprising of Artemisia vulgaris leaf water extract (10%) + bitertanol (0.05%)or leaf water extract of E. officinalis (10%) + bitertanol (0.05%) were equally effective in controlling the storage scab and fungal rots but were not effective in checking the shrivelling (24.2, 38%) of fruits. Post harvest fruit dip in leaf water extract of E. officinalis, A. vulgaris and Melia azadirachta each @ 10% (v/v) for 10 minutes and fungicide namely; carbendazim (0.075%), bitertanol (0.075%) and captaf (0.3%) separately for 5 minutes duration were found highly effective in controlling eitherthe development of scab lesions or fungal rots but could not effectively check the shrivelling of fruits during storage at room temperature.
