Some annual deals were inked in the Atlantic met coal market Monday, with premium material priced at the second quarter Asian benchmark, while some spot sales were heard done. Sources had said negotiations between miners and mill over high-vol A coals coveted by certain buyers had been difficult, but some annual deals have been done around $115-120/mt FOB with more to follow. Some offers were reportedly lowered after the Asian low-vol benchmark fell 6.4% for the second quarter.
