China coke dragged 10 dollars/mt lower by poor steel market

China's domestic metallurgical coke market dropped sharply this week, reflecting similar falls in steel billet and coking coal prices in north China. Platts assessed China domestic met coke with 62% CSR (coke strength after reaction), 12.5% ash and 0.65% sulfur at Yuan 1,725/mt (270 dollars) delivered, duty paid (DDP) to Tangshan mills including 17% VAT and three-month credit, Yuan 65/mt lower than the previous week.
