China's spot ferrosilicon prices were assessed at 1,420-1,430 dollars/mt FOB China Thursday, up 20 dollars/mt week-on-week after sellers raised offers on stronger domestic demand and tightening supply. No deals were confirmed, but most sources pegged prices at 1,420-1,430 dollars/mt FOB on Thursday. Offers were heard at 1,420-1,450 dollars/ mt this week, up 10-30 dollars/mt from two weeks ago before the Qingmind holidays in China over April 2-4. Sellers were planning to lift offers late last week after domestic Chinese prices started rising from late-March.
