Evraz's coking coal output may reach 10 mil mt in 2013

Evraz will start mining coking coal at the 570 million mt Vostochny section of the Ulug-Khem basin in Russia's Tyva Republic by 2013 when it is aiming for 1 million mt crude coal output/year, Alexander Frolov, Evraz's president, told Platts SBB Wednesday. Evraz has held a production license for Vostochny since October 2010. As there are no plans to install a washing plant in Tyva yet, the entire output, for in-house consumption, will be trucked to washing facilities in western Siberia.
