摘要

International Coal Ventures Ltd (ICVL), the three-year-old Indian consortium formed to hunt overseas coking coal projects, seems on the verge of collapse after failing to conclude a single acquisition. Power company NTPC and miner Coal India Ltd (CIL) have signaled their intention to leave the consortium because their focus is on thermal rather than coking coal, and Indian state-owned iron ore miner NMDC could be the next to depart.
