China's Hebei Iron & Steel, the largest coke buyer in north China, cut its coke buying price by Yuan 70/mt (11 dollars/mt) Thursday, to Yuan 1,580/mt delivered Tangshan basis, according to a coke supplier. This is the third time this month the steelmaker has cut its coke purchasing price. It cut prices in early and mid-August by Yuan 100/mt each time, amounting to a total reduction of Yuan 270/mt this month after the most recent cut.
