US hard coking coal prices rose Wednesday on what producers said was higher European demand and “improved” pricing in recent spot sales. Low-vol hard coking coal had been sold into Europe at $145/mt by one producer, while another said it sold low wall pressure 1.6-1.65 reflectance Central Appalachian low-vol at $155/mt FOB to one mill.
