China domestic FeCr prices flat, trade scarce

The domestic spot price of 50% Cr Chinese high-carbon ferrochrome was assessed flat on week at Yuan 6,400-6,600/mt (78-80 cents/ lb) including 17% VAT and delivery Wednesday, amid sluggish post-Lunar New Year trading. Few buy- or sell-side indications were garnered this week, but most saw prices at Yuan 6,400-6,500/mt, or Yuan 6,600/ mt for prompt delivery. Activity was expected to return to normal next week.
