Some of us have been talking for many years about climate change and depletion of the world's resources. Suddenly, climate change and peak oil are starting to be talked about in the mainstream. I don't feel that this is because the powers-that-be or the mainstream media (or Al Gore for that matter) have suddenly become visionaries wanting to work towards the best interests of the world and humanity as a whole. It seems more likely that extreme climate events and increasing evidence about oil supplies are just becoming harder to ignore.
