Software upgrades address Astor-Joint STARS problems

U.K. Sentinel R1 aircraft equipped with the Air-borne Stand-off Radar (Astor) are now flying missions over Afghanistan, but British officials are working to solve two separate software problems that limit the radar's ability to operate with the U.S. Air Force's Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (Joint STARS) aircraft, British and American officials said.
