摘要

SAMPE's role in educational programs is important to continuing to educate those who will follow in our footsteps in the future in the M&P technology areas. Technology does not stand still and continues to move forward at a pace that often appears to outdistance practical applications for today's problems. Technology also moves forward at a pace that often our young people understand and latch onto much better and much faster than their mentors. However, SAMPE and those mentors of our up and coming M&P engineers and scientists must provide sufficient avenues for those entering the M&P field the opportunity to "experience" materials technology and those avenues that develop new materials into real world applications via novel processing technology and innovative applications.
